Hi,
A little about me and the type of information you can get from my blog. First off even if you do not find the information helpful maybe you will get a good laugh out of it, and I will have made your day. I am a first-time mom to a beautiful 14-month-old boy. I am married and we live on what I like to call my mini ranch (hence the name wannabeeranch). We have 3 dogs ranging from small, medium, to extra-large. Willy is the smallest as he is a rat terrier an oh man do I have some stories about him. Levi is my old guy I have had for 15 years. He is a lab mix and the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Then we have Groot, our 185lb great dane that thinks he is the rat terrier. They keep us on our toes and my toddler absolutely loves them. Then we have our two cats who are a handful all on their own. They rule the mini ranch for sure. We also have a cow, my two horses (I like to call my knuckleheads) whose real names are Shorty and Ed, and our super fun miniature donkey named Eeyore because why wouldn't he be? Let's not forget my chickens Thelma, Lousie, and our rooster Elvis. And maybe for my Christmas wish this year I will get my mini potbelly pig who will be named Marybell. That is just a little about me so moving forward you will know who I am talking about with the many stories I will be bringing to you from the mini ranch and from personal experience being a first-time mom.
I
am also a first-time blogger but felt I have had some very interesting moments that
have taught me a lot and feel I need to share my obtained knowledge. This is
especially true with being a first-time mom learning the ropes of motherhood
while starting a new business and running a mini ranch. No one really tells you
the nitty gritty details. Yes, motherhood is wonderful but there are things
that happen no one prepares you for. Although I can look back on a few of these
scenarios and laugh, at the time I was thinking to myself how do other women
handle these situations? Have other moms been in the same situation as me? If
so why does no one share this information? It may be extremely personal but
trust me it is important information I wish I would have had access to. So,
this is why I have decided to start a blog. Maybe this reaches one person or
maybe many, either way I just hope it helps someone somewhere. I just want to
be open and honest and in doing so I may get pretty personal and detailed about life on the ranch and being a mom.
